Circular economy in the Netherlands
The province of North Holland 100% circular in 2050
The province is in the process of a transition: where raw materials and products were first destroyed at the end of their lifespan (linear economy), the province is now working on a circular economy. Products and raw materials will be reused and destroyed as little as possible.
Being part of the circular steering group, we aim to achieve the following:
- Activate more entrepreneurs to undertake circularity;
- Support each other by sharing ideas, expertise and networks;
- Exert influence in a way in which the province can support circular organizations.
Are you working on innovative solutions, do you have a product that can replace or recycle other linear products? I would like to get in touch with you to see where we can share knowledge and expertise.
Circular economy abroad
Tourists are attracted to a pristine and beautiful environment, not an island surrounded by or covered in waste. As tourism increases (i.e. “success”), more waste will be generated. There are solutions available and they can also be profitable.
Waste management on islands makes common sense. But where do you find the time?
Did you know that just a few little adjustments in your business can have a big positive impact on the environment?
Charlutions will help you as a resort manager / owner to become more circular and create less waste. We will deliver a plan of action and will take care of the implementation. This will involve the local community and (local) government as well to create more jobs and awareness.
Refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle. What can you do as an organization?
Let me help you!
Charlutions will help you to reduce your plastic footprint and become circular instead of linear. (Call to action button)
Refuse disposable plastic whenever and wherever possible. Choose items that are not packaged in plastic, and carry your own bags, containers and utensils. Say ‘no straw, please.’
Reduce & Reuse durable, non-toxic straws, utensils, to-go containers, bottles, bags, and other everyday items. Talk with procurement and choose glass, paper, stainless steel, wood, ceramic and bamboo over plastics.
Recycle what you can’t refuse, reduce or reuse. Pay attention to the entire life cycle of items you bring into your organization, from source to manufacturing to distribution to disposal.
Charlutions will help create a quick scan of the available waste, providing a ‘Plan of Action’, help with the implementation and bring back you waste footprint.
Marine Conservation: Survey the reefs
If you as a resort manager or owner would like to be unburdened or need support with:
- Mapping the “house” reef and marine species;
- The logistic side of the program;
- Dive (lessons) related aspects of the organization.
Charlutions helps with the start-up and implementation, transfers knowledge to local colleagues and supports awareness among local people and tourists.
